【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssolventcementforjoiningacrylonitrile-butadienestyrene(ABS)plasticpipeandfittingsforpressureandnonpressuresystems.1.2Recommendationforusingsolventcementforjoiningacrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS)plasticpipeandfittingsisgivenin.Satisfactoryjoiningofpipeandfittingscannotbemadeinthepresenceofwater,aswaterdestroysthebondingabilityofsolventcement;therefore,allmaterialsmustbedryforsatisfactoryjoining.1.3Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
