【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesamethodbasedonwaterabsorptionwithvacuumforthedeterminationofthebulkdensityofgranularrefractorymaterials(grainbulkdensity)havingagrainsizegreaterthan2mm.NOTE1ThismethodisproposedasanalternativetothemethodbasedonmercurydisplacementwithvacuumdescribedinEN993-17whichistobeusedasthereferencemethodbecauseofitsreproducibility.However,mercuryisknowntobeahazardoussubstanceandthemethoddescribedinthisEuropeanStandardisrecommendedforallroutinepurposes.Nevertheless,dependingonthenatureofthematerialtested,thetwomethodsmaygivedifferentresults.NOTE2Formaterialsthataresensitivetocontactwithwater,asuitableorganicliquidshouldbeused.Theimmersionliquidshouldnotfractionateatapressureabovetheabsolutepressureattainedinthetest.Forexample,distilledparaffincanbeusedforhydratablematerials.
